I was really impressed to find a sewing table that adjusts to fit almost any sewing machine. For $140 CAD shipping included, my new Sew AjusTable from Sewing M.A.T.E.S. came in the mail. I was most impressed by how simple it was to adjust and tighten up to fit my machine. Most of all, I'm happy that one day, should I upgrade my Europro to another machine, I should be able to keep using it.

What great satisfaction it is to finally finish a project. It may be small, but it's a cutie. I started taking a sewing class offered by the local fabric store and it was required that we pick a pattern and some fabric. There is something special about a first project. This is mine. I started taking classes at the local quilt store in my town and this is our learning project. I'm waiting for the final lesson - quilt binding.

So this is it! My first entry. As the title implies, I'm new to sewing and new to blogging. I wasn't ever going to create a blog but today I realized that this can serve a wonderful purpose of diarizing my journey into the world of creating my own personal masterpieces.
